El Palauet Living Barcelona is a stunning urban hotel situated in a converted Art Nouveau mansion built in 1906. The Cotton House Hotel is a stunning neoclassical building which was once home to the city’s cotton-makers’ guild. Renowned designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán has done an exceptional job in refurbishing the building, creating an exquisite and theatrical atmosphere with baroque furnishings, artfully desilvered wall-to-ceiling mirrors and majestic 1950s suspended spiral staircases. The hotel also offers a small salon where visitors can get bespoke shirts made to measure. The Batuar restaurant in the hotel serves updated Catalan dishes and successfully dabbles in fusion with renowned chefs, including Eva de Gil. In the coffered and frescoed library, stacked high with original books, visitors can have a lovely place to drink, while the summer rooftop provides a fantastic place to relax.

The Hotel Neri in Barcelona is a stylish and intimate boutique hotel, offering only 22 rooms and housed in a beautiful 17th-century mansion. It has a leafy rooftop bar and a restaurant, ’a’, that serves accomplished dishes to be shared. The hotel’s central location, next to the cathedral, is ideal for exploring the Barri Gòtic’s eateries and drinking options. The hotel is beautifully sympathetic to the style and original features of the centuries-old building in which it is housed, and the rooms are uniquely decorated with eco-friendly toiletries and coffee machines. Although the hotel doesn’t have a pool or gym, the leafy rooftop bar and atmospheric little square make up for it.
