Steeped in history, the neo-colonial building originally constructed in 1933 has been reimagined by the Experimental Group, breathing new life into the iconic destination. Once a gateway for Hollywood’s biggest stars during the 1950s, Montesol Experimental Ibiza now offers 33 rooms and suites, refurbished by renowned interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon in early 2023.

What are the rooms like?

The 30 rooms and three suites at Montesol Experimental Ibiza are a delightful fusion of bohemian style and classic aesthetics. Dorothée Meilichzon’s design showcases calming hues in greys, greens and pastels, while the distinctive exterior provides a stately backdrop for whimsical touches. In-room decor includes masks created by Mallorca-based artist Anna Alexandra and Playdough Stools by Diego Faivre. Cool, calming colours counterbalance the Balearic heat and lush fabrics featuring patterns, fringes and pompoms catch the eye, with cosmic elements scattered throughout.
