Bulgari Hotel Roma

What’s the hotel in a nutshell?

In the heart of Rome’s Campo Marzio neighbourhood, encircled by the echo of history, stands Bulgari Hotel Roma, inaugurated in the summer of 2023. A symbol of Italian luxury brand Bulgari’s historical journey back to its roots, it is an immersive narrative of exceptional Italian craftsmanship and opulence, told within the walls of a rationalist architectural masterpiece built between 1936 and 1938. The fusion of history and modernity is epitomised by architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo’s design, adorned with mosaics and frescoes, and the fine interior hand of ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. As you step through its doors, you are met with the gaze of Emperor Augustus, immortalised in an original statue from the Torlonia collection, elegantly positioned in the hotel entrance vestibule.

What are the rooms like?

Each of the hotel’s 114 rooms – most of them suites – are artful expressions of Italian elegance, designed in four different colour palettes: white, yellow, red and green. The 100 square metre Bulgari Suite, a serene oasis in the midst of Rome’s historical hub, offers a roomy master bedroom, a cosy living space and an exclusive dining room. It’s a stay taken to the next level with Flexform and Maxalto furniture from Antonio Citterio and custom tapestries by Venetian textile manufacturer Rubelli. The suite’s bathroom is home to a white marble carved bathtub – so large it had to be placed by crane before installing the room’s windows.
