Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura is a haven for fashionable fine dining in the heart of Florence. Located adjacent to the Gucci Gardens and the Gucci boutique, this intimate 30-seat restaurant celebrates the shared passions of food and fashion between its creators, CEO of Gucci Marco Bizzarri and renowned Italian chef Massimo Bottura. The Osteria boasts a stunning dining room with pops of bright green and teal, and a beautiful outdoor terrace adorned with Gucci touches throughout. The interior design is the brainchild of Gucci’s former creative director, Alessandro Michele, who has seamlessly blended the historic elegance of Palazzo della Mercanzia with the brand’s unique flair.
At Gucci Osteria, you can expect a menu that is both innovative and rooted in tradition, thanks to the culinary expertise of Chef de Cuisine Karime López, the first Mexican woman to receive a Michelin Star. With experience from acclaimed kitchens such as Osteria Francescana, Pujol in Mexico City and Noma in Copenhagen, López brings a global and contemporary twist to the menu. Signature dishes include tortellini with Parmigiano Reggiano cream from Massimo Bottura and López’s own creations such as her famous tostadas and the Sea Deepness, a pasta dish packed with flavour. Another standout dish is the Emilia Burger, featuring a patty made from Chianina meat and cotechino sausage, and then layered with Parmigiano Reggiano, salsa verde made with parsley, anchovies and capers and mayonnaise laced with sweet, thick balsamic vinegar. Asian specialities like the pork belly bun – Taka bun – also make an appearance, as a nod to Karime’s husband Takahiko Kondo, Bottura’s sous chef at Osteria Francescana.
