The Mediterranean • Stay • The Lodge Mallorca in Mallorca, Spain
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by the original stone mill, or tafona, traditionally used for making olive oil. The stone trough sink from the former kitchen has found a new role as a water fountain, while the original stone walls exposed on the interior whisper tales from the past. Six rooms find their home within the transformed farmhouse, while 18 more are scattered across the estate, inhabiting newly constructed cabins, echoing the farmhouse’s architecture and aesthetic. These suites feature an engaging balance of timber types and textures, with a minimalist colour palette. Each suite reveals a private Mallorcan patio, fostering a strong connection with the surrounding farmland. Within the rooms, locally crafted ceramics and a treasure trove of antique pieces found in nearby second-hand shops blend harmoniously with modern design elements.
