Hauser & Wirth Menorca

Hauser & Wirth Menorca is an art centre on Illa del Rei, Mahon harbour, blending art, education and conservation. Opened in 2021, it resides in restored 18th-century naval hospital buildings. The centre showcases contemporary works, including pieces by Eduardo Chillida and Roni Horn, and features an outdoor sculpture trail. Architect Luis Laplace and landscape designer Piet Oudolf created a space integrating historical architecture with modern elements. The site includes eight galleries, a restaurant and a shop, all harmoniously connected to their natural Mediterranean surroundings​​.

Fundació Miró Mallorca

Fundació Miró Mallorca is an art centre in Palma, showcasing Joan Miró’s works and providing insights into his creative process. Founded by Miró and his wife in 1981, it houses his paintings, sculptures and prints alongside temporary exhibitions​​. The museum includes three unique buildings: the Sert Studio, the Son Boter and the Moneo Building. Galeria Cayón

Established in 2005, Galeria Cayón operates in Madrid, Menorca, and Manila. Known for exploring spatial relationships in art, it has exhibited works by Josef Albers, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol. The Menorca branch, housed in a 19th-century theatre, opened in 2018 with Fred Sandback’s minimalist works. It features high-profile exhibitions like those of Yves Klein, Stanley Whitney and Carlos Cruz-Diez​. Can Lis

Can Lis, designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, is an iconic house on Mallorca’s south coast, completed in 1971. It features four interconnected blocks constructed from local marés sandstone, blending seamlessly into the cliffside landscape. The design optimises natural light and sea views, with each block oriented to harness the sun’s position. Utzon’s integration of traditional Mallorcan methods and modernist principles creates a harmonious space that reflects the island’s natural elements​​. Celebrated as one of the 20th century’s most significant homes, Can Lis embodies Utzon’s philosophy of blending mental and physical order, making it a masterpiece of residential architecture​.

Tabouret

The art gallery Tabouret and its artist’s residence is located in Mahón, Menorca, in a two-story building at Plaça Bastió. Specialising in contemporary and collectible design, it showcases curated objects, furniture and decor items by Isis-Colombe Combréas and Polina Torbina. Architect Léa Javal and local architect Bià Garriga Sánchez led the building’s rehabilitation. The gallery features a rotating selection of works, hosting resident designers and various events. Fundación La Nave Salinas

The contemporary art space Fundación La Nave Salinas is situated in Ibiza, and was established by Lio Malca in 2015. Casa Broner

Casa Broner, designed by German architect and painter Erwin Broner in 1960, is located in Ibiza’s Sa Penya neighbourhood. This modernist house served as Broner’s residence and studio, blending Bauhaus principles with local Ibizan design. The two-story house includes original furniture, paintings and drawings by Broner, maximising light and space within its 80-square-metre footprint. Partly cantilevered over a cliff, it offers stunning views of the sea and Formentera. Declared a Cultural Interest in 2000, Casa Broner showcases the harmonious integration of modernist and traditional architecture.

Fundación Bartolomé March

Fundación Bartolomé March, established in 1975 by Bartolomé March Servera, is located in the historic Palau March in Palma de Mallorca. The foundation showcases March’s extensive art collection, including modern and contemporary sculptures by artists like Rodin, Henry Moore and Eduardo Chillida. Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Ibiza

Espacio Micus

Espacio Micus, founded by German painter Eduard Micus, is an art gallery near Jesús, Ibiza.
