Château Eza, once the winter escape for a Swedish prince, is a boutique hotel steeped in history, nestled in the medieval village of Èze. The hotel features 14 individually decorated rooms and suites, each offering a unique blend of modern luxury and historical charm – choose your room with care, as the decor varies, with some rooms being more impressively appointed than others. The Michelin-starred restaurant serves French and Mediterranean cuisine but is known for its cosy, somewhat cramped setting with many tables tightly arranged. Guests can also enjoy meals on private balconies or in the exclusive Wine Cave, complemented by panoramic sea views from the lounge bar.

La Chèvre d’Or

At La Chèvre d’Or in Èze, the hotel’s 45 rooms are set in a historic medieval village, each offering a distinct experience with views of the Mediterranean. The decor feels a bit stuck in the 1990s and stuffy for our tastes, but the breathtaking panoramas and the pool more than make up for it. The hotel’s crown jewel is its two Michelin-starred restaurant, La Chèvre d’Or, where Chef Arnaud Faye crafts exquisite dishes. Additionally, the scenic gardens and multiple terraces provide serene spots to relax and enjoy the sun.

Les Terrasses d’Eze

Les Terrasses d’Eze, a peaceful four-star retreat on the outskirts of the village, is a welcome respite from the bustling tourist crowds that flock to Èze during the day. Its unique architecture that resembles ship decks allows guests to enjoy stunning views over the Mediterranean from private terraces. We particularly appreciated the quiet, crowd-free environment, which made our stay even more relaxing. The hotel features luxurious rooms and a variety of dining options, including the bistronomic Le Tillac and the laid-back Bio Bar. The extensive spa facilities, including the notable floating room, offer a perfect escape into tranquillity.
